ROAD TO THE FUTURE
Road to the Future Scholarships will return: March 1 to April 30, 2010.
For our ''ROAD TO THE FUTURE'' scholarship program, Camacho Auto Sales will be donating $5,000 in scholarships to 10 (Paraclete, Desert Christian, Knight, Highland, Lancaster, Antelope Valley, Littlerock, Palmdale, Quartz Hill) of the local Antelope Valley High Schools this school year, including Rosamond High School, just up the road in Kern County. Each high school will receive one $500 scholarship to be awarded to the most deserving student who applies.
To accomplish this, Camacho will put aside a portion of the proceeds of each purchase Valley residents make. These scholarships are being offered as a gesture of appreciation and giving back to the community and to assist and reward aspiring students of higher education. Camacho is also a great supporter and believer in the advancement of knowledge, because knowledge is the key to the future and these scholarships can help promote the values that lead to success.
The Goal and Purpose of Camacho Auto Sales Road to the Future Scholarships is to reward Outstanding high school graduates who have demonstrated excellence in community service, work ethics, and academics, and who are pursuing higher education. All finalists will be determined by their respective guidance counselors at their particular school-site. A selected committee will then determine the winners. Ten successful applicants will each receive a one-time scholarship during their graduation ceremonies and Camacho will be there to make the presentation.
